Summer Enrichment Camps

NBAP offers a variety of camps each summer. Activities range from physical to learning camps. Through partnerships with volunteers and community members, NBAP is able to offer camps to youth free of charge. NBAP provides a daily breakfast, lunch, and snack for over 50 youth.

Our goal during the summer is not only to expose youth to fun activities, but to also introduce them to exciting learning experiences and various events in locations to which they might not otherwise be exposed. We complement these enrichment activities with dedicated time to keeping educational and reading skills sharp during summer vacation.

Past camps have included:

• Recreation: basketball, golf, tennis, swimming, sailing
• Nature
• Arts: music, dance, crafts
• Ministry
• College and workplace tours

St. Charles Youth and Family Services

Since 1996, NBAP has worked with male and female youth (ages 13-17) at St. Charles Youth and Family Services to provide positive role models through Christian-based teaching. Although the youth are there for a relatively short period of time, they desperately need encouragement and caring support. The work at St. Charles is 100% volunteer delivered.

To connect with the residents, NBAP recruits volunteers with a heart for the ministry to provide for the youths’ needs. In addition to weekly Bible studies, we also provide:

• Arts & Crafts
• Special Events - concerts, Thanksgiving meal, Christmas gifts, birthday parties
• Career Night weekly speaker programs
• A “Different Path” fellowship and fun time at the Youth Center
